TickClip video toolkit

Download TikTok Videos Online

Paste a TikTok link and see exactly which formats, qualities and file types the server can resolve for that video. Everything runs in your browser; there is nothing to install and no account to create.

TikTok videosShort-video savingYouTube, Instagram and more supported

Only download videos you own, have permission to use, or that the platform explicitly allows you to save. This service does not bypass DRM, access controls or age restrictions, does not expand playlists, and keeps no personal download history. Not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance.

Supported platforms

Paste a link from any of these platforms and the same inspector works on it: videos, image posts and audio, with the qualities the provider actually returns.

Availability depends on the provider's extraction support and on the post being public. If a platform or a specific post cannot be resolved, the tool says so instead of guessing.

Three steps, in this order

  1. Step 1

    Copy the video link

Grab the URL of a TikTok video. The address bar, the share sheet, and vm.tiktok.com short links all work.

  2. Step 2

    Paste the link

Drop it into the field on this page. The link is checked as you type, and unsupported hosts are rejected before any lookup happens.

  3. Step 3

    Choose an available format

The results panel lists the containers and qualities the server could actually resolve, and marks which ones have a working download link.

Each tool page explains its own constraints rather than repeating the same paragraph four times.

What you can expect

Simple by design

One input, one button, one results panel. No account, no email, no onboarding flow standing between you and the link you pasted.

Nothing to install

The work happens on the server, so there is no desktop application, no browser extension and no mobile app to keep updated.

Responsive on phones

The layout is built mobile-first and the interface degrades gracefully: heavy background effects are switched off on small screens.

Clear error feedback

Failures are reported with a specific, actionable code such as INVALID_URL or VIDEO_UNAVAILABLE instead of a generic red box.

Transparent privacy

No accounts, no stored download history, no upload of your own files. Submitted links are used for the lookup and are not kept as a personal record.

We describe only what is implemented. There is no unlimited-download guarantee, no absolute-security claim, and no promise that every video or resolution will be reachable.

The guide covers the link formats that work, how to tell a progressive MP4 from a video-only stream, why a high-resolution download can arrive without sound, how short-lived download links behave, and what each error code means.

Frequently asked questions

Is TickClip free to use?
Yes. There is no account system, no paywall and no credit system on this site. Operating costs are kept low by never re-encoding video: when a platform delivers picture and sound as separate streams the server only remuxes them, and every prepared file is deleted within minutes. If that ever changes, it will be stated plainly on this page rather than hidden behind a limit.
Which platforms are supported?
TikTok is the primary platform today, and YouTube, Instagram and more are supported as well. The parser is written as a provider registry, so additional platforms can be added without rewriting the interface; actual availability is whatever the parser returns, and no unverified support is claimed.
Do I need an account or extension?
No. There is no login, no signup and no browser extension. The parsing happens server-side and the browser only needs JavaScript enabled for the interactive results panel.
Where do the video details come from?
From the parsing backend configured on the server. The title, duration, channel and format list shown in the results are passed through from that backend, validated, and displayed as-is. If no backend is configured, the tool reports that parsing is unavailable instead of inventing a result.
What am I allowed to download?
Content you own, content you have explicit permission to use, content published under a licence that permits downloading, or anything the source platform itself allows you to save. Downloading copyrighted material without permission is not permitted by our terms.
Are the download links permanent?
No. Media backends issue signed links that expire, often within minutes. The download button requests a fresh link at the moment you click it, so the usual failure mode is simply an expired link that a second click fixes.
Do you keep a record of what I download?
There is no user-facing history and no account to attach one to. Server request logs, where the host keeps them, contain routing and error information rather than a personal archive of your submissions; the privacy policy describes this in detail.
Why can a specific video not be downloaded?
Private, deleted, age-restricted or region-blocked videos cannot be resolved, and the server reports that rather than retrying endlessly. Some videos also have no format the backend can hand out, in which case you see which formats exist but which ones lack a working link.
