Terms of Service
By using TickClip you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
Updated 2026-10-18
1. What the service is
TickClip is a web interface that validates a video link, asks a parsing backend for metadata and available formats, and prepares a downloadable file. It does not re-encode video and keeps no media library: a prepared file exists only while the transfer runs and for a few minutes afterwards, then it is deleted.
2. Permitted use
You may use the service only for content that you:
- own, or
- hold a licence or written permission to download and use, or
- are permitted to save under the source platform's own terms, or
- may lawfully copy under an applicable exception in your jurisdiction.
3. Prohibited use
- Downloading or redistributing copyrighted material without authorisation.
- Removing or altering rights management, watermarks or attribution.
- Attempting to bypass DRM, access controls, age verification or paywalls.
- Bulk, automated or scripted use, including channel or playlist harvesting.
- Circumventing rate limits, or probing the API for vulnerabilities outside a responsible disclosure.
- Using the service where doing so would breach your local law.
4. Rate limits and fair use
Lookups are rate limited per network. Exceeding the limit returns HTTP 429 with a retry hint. Limits exist to keep the service available for everyone and may change without notice.
5. Availability, no warranty
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Video availability, formats and resolutions depend on external systems outside our control. Parsing may be unavailable, and individual videos may be unreachable, at any time.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TickClip and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from your inability to use it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero.
7. Intellectual property
All downloaded material remains the property of its respective rights holders. The interface, its code and its written content belong to the operator of this site. Third-party names such as YouTube are trademarks of their owners; this service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by them.
8. Termination
Access may be blocked, at any time and without notice, for behaviour that breaches these terms or that threatens the availability of the service for others.
9. Changes
These terms may be updated as the service changes. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
